Assignment #2, Different Perspectives

The lamp lends itself to a wide variety of altering views. Since the lamp shade is white and base is silver, I placed the lamp on textured backgrounds for contrast.

Image #1. The bottom of the lamp. I like the ball feet and found it surprising that this feature was included on a part of the lamp you never see.

Image #2. Lamp shade off. The blurred background gives prominence to this unassuming functional part of the lamp.

Image #3. Shot from underneath. I shot this laying down and through the top of the shade into the tree and sky, classic hero shot.

Image #4. Lamp on its side. I placed the lamp on its side with the pull chain on the ground.

Image #5. Swinging pull chain. I placed the lamp on a white background and let the pull chain swing. I waited until the chain could be caught in action.

Image #6. Shot from top. I shot this directly through the top of the lamp, obscuring the lamp's stem.
