Assignment 5, Creating a text logo

For the text portion of the logo assignment, I decided on the phrase, See The Light. The literal meaning is simply the act of looking at or seeing the lamp. The indirect meaning speaks to when a person has full understanding. And in this subject, understanding is obtained through full disclosure of renewable energy facts. Again, I created each logo in both black and white and color. For the first example, I changed the color version slightly by using the Rounded Corners effect in Illustrator to alter the font and added the glowing sun.

For the second option, I used a symbol I found in Ilustrator that was intended as three blades of grass. When turned on its side and the color changed to shades of yellow, the symbol gives the feeling of rays of sun.

The next logo iteration replaces the letter "G" with the same flower graphic used in the previous post.

The next logo uses the wind turbine graphic within the See The Light phrase.

The last option is a complete departure from the previous logos. I created an eye shape and used the Flare tool in Illustrator for the interior of the eye. The image in the eye is meant to look like clouds with a sun in the distance. The sun also serves as the pupil of the eye.
